Keelframe FAQ
Practical answers about the platform, beta, AI, and integrations.
Keelframe is being built as a full Membership Operations platform that can also work with the systems an organization already trusts. These answers separate current product direction from interfaces and assurances that still require implementation-specific verification.
Membership Operations and product fit
What is Membership Operations?
Membership Operations is the connected work, roles, records, decisions, controls, money, communications, and follow-through that deliver an organization's member promise across the full lifecycle.
Is Keelframe an AMS or membership-management replacement?
Not by default. Keelframe can begin as an operating layer around appropriate systems of record and add the workflows, workspaces, integrations, and evidence the operation is missing. It can also become a broader platform where consolidation or purpose-built applications make sense.
Which organizations are the best early fit?
Early fit is strongest where enrollment, eligibility, access, subscriptions, benefits, billing, service, commissions, partner relationships, or accountable work cross multiple teams or systems and create measurable friction.
How does Keelframe handle roles, subscriptions, benefits, and commissions?
The product model treats them as connected membership context: who participates, under which relationship and role, what offering or level applies, when access is effective, what money is owed or attributed, and who owns exceptions. Exact implementation depends on the selected workflow and authoritative systems.
Can Keelframe support member, partner, employee, and administrative workspaces?
Yes as a product direction. Keelframe is designed around role-specific workspaces that expose only the context, tasks, decisions, communications, and tools appropriate to that role and tenant. A specific workspace should be treated as available only after it is implemented and accepted.
Implementation and systems
What happens during a first design-partner engagement?
The team selects one high-friction workflow, maps authoritative facts, decisions, handoffs, exceptions, and owners, agrees on a measurable outcome, builds a bounded operating model, and tests it before expanding scope.
Does Keelframe require replacing our CRM, billing, support, identity, or membership system?
No. A first implementation can retain existing systems as authoritative sources and connect them through read-side context, governed commands, event-driven handoffs, and reconciliation. Replacement is a separate decision, not an automatic requirement.
How does Keelframe prevent duplicate actions or handle uncertain outcomes?
The design standard calls for idempotency keys, expected-state guards, explicit outcome states, retained audit evidence, and a recovery path. Those controls must be proven for each mutating interface before it is treated as production-ready.
What technical access is available during beta?
Design partners may receive scoped, environment-specific interfaces and documentation for the workflows being tested. A stable public API, OpenAPI document, MCP catalog, webhook catalog, SDK, and version policy are not represented as generally available yet.
AI, control, and evidence
What can an AI agent see or change?
Only what its tenant, acting identity, role, bounded tool, workflow state, and approval rules allow. Context access does not itself authorize mutation. Material actions should require explicit authority, repeat-safe execution, retained results, and human approval where appropriate.
Does Keelframe expose MCP tools?
MCP is part of the agent-ready architecture and beta build plan. This page does not claim a generally available public MCP server or tool catalog. Each released tool should document its purpose, schema, permission boundary, mutation status, approval gate, and recovery behavior.
How is member data governed?
Keelframe's design model keeps tenant, identity, source, freshness, role, decision rights, approvals, and audit history explicit. Specific privacy, retention, security, residency, and compliance commitments must be documented for the implemented environment and agreement.
Availability and commercial questions
Is Keelframe generally available?
No general-availability claim is made. Keelframe is inviting selected organizations to discuss design-partner participation and bounded beta work.
Does Keelframe publish pricing?
No public price list is published yet. Scope and commercial terms should be confirmed directly and should not be inferred from beta materials.
Does Keelframe claim a security or compliance certification?
No certification or service assurance should be inferred unless Keelframe publishes a current, scoped, verifiable statement for the relevant environment.
How can an organization participate?
Use the design-partner request page to describe the organization, the workflow creating friction, and the result that would matter.
